The MC and Key Characters
The anime centers around Kuro Kumogakure, a young Shinoi on a mission that appears minor but has significant consequences for Ninja, Japan, and the world. Kuro is a laid-back character who will surprise you with various facets of his personality. He can be dangerous, funny, and compassionate all within a single episode. He reminds me of a blend between Shikamaru and Mugen.
