NEW 'POWER RANGERS' FILM IS IN DEVELOPMENT

Hollywood insider Daniel Richtman reports that a new movie is in early development at Paramount. Another source, @Jinsakuu, indicates that it will be a complete reboot, unrelated to the previous Netflix project in any way. The Power Rangers film franchise attempted a revival in 2017, but that vision did not succeed. Shortly thereafter, Hasbro partnered with Netflix and Paramount to create a Power Rangers cinematic universe involving both TV and film, but nothing materialized from that effort. While no story details are available, Power Rangers fans know what to expect. Hopefully, this time the studios will engage a strong creative team that understands how to handle the franchise. A Power Rangers film franchise has the potential to be massive, but the studio must capture the tone and spirit of the classic action-adventure series and craft a story that resonates with fans and audiences alike.
