Harry Potter Series Coming 2027 (Max Original)

The Harry Potter TV series is expected to premiere on HBO and Max in 2027. The show was originally scheduled for a late 2026 release, but was delayed to 2027

Release date: The show is expected to premiere in 2027. 

Seasons: The show is expected to run for seven seasons, with each season adapting one of the books in J.K. Rowling's series. 

Cast: No one has been cast in the series yet, but open castings were held in the UK and Ireland in September. 

Writers and directors: Francesca Gardiner, who worked on Succession, is the showrunner and writer, and Mark Mylod is directing multiple episodes. 

J.K. Rowling's involvement: Rowling is looking forward to being part of the new adaptation, which she says will allow for a degree of depth and detail only afforded by a long-form television series.
